Home Remodel Projects #1: Past couple projects

OK, so I haven’t been doing a very good job of getting my projects up here. I’m afraid I cannot wow you with their beauty or their awe inspiring design such as many of you have posted. BUT!!! I am still proud of them and most importantly, the wife is happy. And when the wife is happy, the tools keep coming. My wife and I have done all the work ourselves. New hardwood flooring...

My wife and I decided that since we were going to be empty nesters this fall, we would take the opportunity to redo the flooring in the main level of the home. We started the project in the latter part of February finally finishing it up in the late part of May. My wife is a nurse and ended up being called to another facility for several weeks which slowed up our progress considerably. I just acquired some Brazilian Cherry

My son works for a company that installs, & also refinishes wood flooring. They presently installing about 1800 sq. Feet of Brazilian Cherry, so he brought me some cuttoffs, scraps for my wood stash. It’s prefinished with an Aluminum oxide finish, which is extremely hard. I don’t know if it will be tough on saw blades, but I’ll find out. A couple of images to look at. He said he’ll be bring me more tomorrow. This could have been used for a Thorsen Table.
