Building a Corner Cabinet From Magazine Plans

I built this corner cabinet out of curly maple. I built this project by following an article in the November 2010 issue (No. 186)of Popular Woodworking Magazine. I really love this design and this is the second one of these style cupboards i have built over the years. I mostly followed the plans in the article but I did make some changes, incorporating a beginner blacksmith project in to the cabinet. This morning my wife decided what she wanted to do with an oak door we bought some time ago at a flea market. She wanted a rustic corner cupboard to hold some crocks. Now it was a bit chilly today here in the north east and I’ve got some white oak lumber to stack, but a nice fire in the new woodstove in the shop sounded like a really good idea.
