Challenge 03 Entry - Bridge Dining Table

So after missing out on the last challenge, I made myself get this one done before time ran out. Let me first start by showing my influence.This shows the column and cap design that I like that we are using for bridges around the Houston area. SketchUp Challenge - A Month Late

I’m really late with this. August and September were very busy months, mostly related to upheaval at work. In the insanity I had trouble deciding on an inspiration and even more trouble finding the time and energy to focus on learning SketchUp. About a week before the deadline I finally came up with an inspiration. But despite my best efforts I couldn’t get it together to submit on time. Penobscot Narrows Table

I have the good fortune to go to Penobscot Bay in the Gulf of Maine every summer. In the past two years they have been building a new bridge to replace the old one. It was completed this past summer. They put on quite a show to open it. It’s total length is almost half a mile and when you get up onto the observatory you are 42 stories in the air.
