The insert was added at a late stage to advertise the MF planes 709 and 714, which weren’t added to the catalog until the next iteration of catalog 49 circa 1952. Incidentally, the planes had a list price of $8.50 and $9.00 respectively in the price sheet that accompanied the catalog.The real price of $8.50 is $81.00 in 2013 terms.
