Harmonica case #3: commissioned harmonica case - grouting the brick

So it took me two weeks to chisel out the bloodwood to make it look like patterned brick (you know, doing some here and there not to drive myself crazy). Then i mixed glue with maple dust and grouted the piece. Then it was sanded with a sander. here’s the results. I think the next thing to do is glue up the box and then shape the legs. I am a bit afraid that applying a finish will darken the grout, hopefully it won’t be too much. Whatdaya think?

Hi Folks, I’ve been off the blog for the past few very busy days, something about an infestation of mice in our RV. Problem now solved so I can get back to more pressing things. I am having a new fence put in around our place with a double 10 ft. gate for the RV. I would like to put a Brick Post with an appropriate cap on each side of this entry. I’ve never done very much of this sort of work and I like the idea of a challenge. Would anyone be able to tell me where I might find so...
