Hey LJers, I’ve been reading up on Bradford Pear trees after a neighbor gave me two large sections of one of his trees recently knocked down by Hurricane Irene. The larger piece is 13-16’ diameter, 26” high and weighs 138 lbs wet. The smaller one is 13-14” diameter, 22” high and weighs 125 lbs wet. Got some Bradford Pear logs, and a really big Saw

There was a storm that knocked down a neighbors Bradford Pear tree. I tried spliting it, but that was a disaster. I had recently picked up an old one man cross cut saw from an estate sale for $15 so I re-sharpend the teeth to 90 degress for a rip pattern. It worked an I eventually got threw, but it took forever. I found that a 6 ppi 26” Pannel saw did the job much more efficiently. Just a little tip I wish someone could have told me before I spent all that time on the cross cut saw.
