Unboxing and test of new molding planes from Philly Planes

If you’re interested in wooden molding planes you might enjoy this video that I just published. I had ordered a mini panel raising and 1/8” beading plane from Philly Planes (Phil Edwards makes his planes in England) about eight months ago, and just received them. I unbox and assemble them and make some test moldings. I then take them apart and inspect and comment on their quality. If you have the bandwidth, I uploaded them in 1080 HD quality for best viewing of the results.

Walnut Sofa Table #1: The Design

I was recently contracted by my wife to design and build a sofa table for our den. This describes the design of the table. As I receive no monetary remuneration for this contract and I live in the house too, I have some design input. However, I was limited to some constraints: (1) Dimensions must be roughly 6’ long and no more than 12” wide; (2) Simple design; and (3) Moderate cost.
