I want to apologize if my blog has been the most depressing so far. This week my wife lost her grandmother. If you have been following my posts this past year, we have seen a lot of loss in friends and family. She is in a better place, which in and of itself is a relief. On to some good news. I awoke this morning to a dreary, cold, very foggy day. I don’t mind fog, my morning commute to work is only about 40 feet behind the house, and a little fog doesn’t slow me down much walking out there. Actually, it is mornings like this that I’m reminded how much I have to be thankful for. You every had one of those days when you go in to your shop when you feel like you shouldn’t? Well, I just had one of those days. I have been working on a sushi style tray for the cook off. When I took it out of the clamps I noticed this. Three corners were perfect and this one must have slipped a little when I was clamping. I was using my Jet clamps side ways, so I did not notice it. Possible Maker Marks

I asked my 3 oldest kids, along with my niece, to come up with maker marks for me to choose from. They each filled a sheet of paper with ideas based around these criteria: my initials (I.J.) and possibly Bad Back Wood Working (I developed some lower back issues sometime ago), it also had to be around a couple inches square.
