Hope everyone had a nice week. I have not been in the shop too much this week. Next week will be the last of the remodel for now. I will start on the plane till probably later this summer. It is official… We have orders to fill. We landed the snake head cane job.

So we will be making 31 of these at $175 a pop… Nice!

We also have mountain cane tops to make, about 40 of those.
Thankfully those will be run through the cnc to save some carving time and have them all end up the same.

Then there is the library job with a bench and a chair and another dining room set that might go thru soon.

I rummaged through the shop to find some wood to use on the leg vise for the bench and found some walnut and maple. I thought a two tone would be nice. The front will be walnut and the inside will be 1/2” maple. It will have some inlay on the outside. You can just make it out under all those clamps.

I also cut up some pine to use for the door trim and then stained it a walnut to go with the rest of the wood. It isn’t too fancy and I don’t expect to be in this shop for ever so it will work for now. I leaned them in place so you could see how it will look.

Lastly I have a question for you all. I bought this mag block, but I have no idea what to do with it. I thought about making a wall sculptural thingy to hang chisels on, but I don’t know. Do any of you guys have a fun idea to use it for on my remodel?

Thanks and have a great weekend.
