So I was out of Japan for a little over a month on a trip to the Philippines for work. Now that I’m back, I can finally get back to making some sawdust!

My first project after I got back was to make a going away plaque for my squadron Chief who is moving to another base. I work in communications and we typically like to give our leadership going away gifts that reflect what we do on a daily basis, so we opted to give him a Gerber cable making multi-tool encased in a shadow box. For a nice added touch, I turned a mallet that attaches to the side just like one of those “break in case of emergency” boxes. Anyways, here is the build video.
