Creating a Mixed Nut Dish from a log I found

I wanted to make a nut dish like one that my grandparents used to have. Recently I found a log that was thick enough to make one. I know this project is rather simple to do, but I think the nut dish looks way better than a plastic bowl of nuts on the counter. I have embedded the video, enjoy!

Great job! Video was very good too. And now I have an idea for at least one of the logs I picked up at my sister’s house – and a whole year to get it done. Did you use any type of finish to seal the wood? Thanks for posting and Happy New Year!
