Shopfox W1854 Drum Sander - 3 replies

I am looking at a used Shopfox W1854 Drum Sander. It looks good and was told that it had very few hours on it. I have tried to research it online to check out some reviews but haven’t been able to find a lot of reviews. I would like to hear people’s opinions on this sander, so you own it, know anything about it.

Removing impeller form Harbor Freight DC - 6 replies

I purchased a Harbor Freight dust collector and intend to upgrade the impeller. I am having a serious issue getting the stock impeller off. I have never done this before and do not want to mess up the impeller (incase I need it for later) or the shaft. I purchased a set of gear pullers and still cold not get it to come off. Rust Prevention - 17 replies

I have read alot of different things about rust prevention on the boards. I have a question about paste wax, everything I have read says apply it to help protect against rust. How is everyone applying it, by hand with a rag and then using some sort of buffer to polish the surface? What have you found to be the best way to apply?

Ok so I have built a coffee table for the wife and I intend to leave the table natural. What finish would you recommend that I put on the table to sustain the wear and tear of a coffee tables normal daily life. Remembering that I am wanting the beautiful natural color and grain of the wood show.
