Wanted something to do, while I was waiting on parts for that bedframe project…While picking up lumber for the bed, I also picked a 1×10 x 4’, and a couple 1×4 x 4’ boards….just Pine, cheap ones from Menard’s….had to dig through and find the best in the bin…. Which left the problem of legs for the table….table didn’t NEED to be all that tall…..had a chunk of 2×10, about 29” long…..nasty mess in the cente...

Part 2: Leg work, and other jobs

Bedframe is completed, installed, posted….Boss approved…soooo, I can get back to that little table? Since this thing was still out, I cut the bad sections out of the 1×4s..enough “good” was left.. To make two short and two long blanks….set these out of the way, for now. That 2×10 under them? may have a used for it, on another project…right now it is in the way…clamps came off the top…ran a plane along all four edges.. Which...

Part 3: Connecting the legs

Had the tenons on the aprons done… And ran the Stanley 45 along two edges, to form a bead. One side, then stand it up on edge, to complete the bead. Outside corner on each leg also got a bead detail…Laid out for the mortise..Gather up the tools to chop the hole.. test fit the tenon.. Until all parts could be dry fitted together. Top got “rounded” And set aside….after a glue up.. Found the flattest spot in the shop’s floor, and go...

Part 4: A PIP...waiting on clothes to dry

Had to go to the basement, and check the clothes dryer…..half the load needed to go through again…checked on the Quart can of Poly Gloss Varnish…to see IF I needed to by a new can… Opened the lid…looked like new, only 1/2 of a pint missing…had a brush handy..and since I was going to be down here anyway, waiting on the dryer… How about a PIP? View from the right side….that is not “blotch” it is grain.. View from the center...
