Well at least the start of one. Inventory after the Table build, showed a few decent enough boards sitting around.. Got to looking at all the saws in the shop, mostly hanging overheard from the Dungeon’s ceiling joists. Figured I could cobble a til out of some of the scraps. Had a 1×6 that seemed long enough for two sides, but it wasn’t quite wide enough….had a couple 1×4s. One of them needed jointed to make a glue joint. Offset the two 1×...

Part 2: Moving day, crosscutting parts

Found a spot for the til to call “home” ....right on the end of the lathe bench…..first, a few things have to move out of the way. A B&D WorkMate was sitting in that spot, with a huge sander sitting on it…..got the sander moved elsewhere.. To the Power Tool Bench. Table is merely stowed for now, can place it where it is needed, later. Almost cleaned off workmate is in it’s new home…might even be able to USE it, now. Swept the floor a bit...

Part 3: Dovetails, lots of dovetails

Lets see, first thing today….rebate plane work.. Needed a place to attach the plywood back to…Then, some layout work.. Then a saw got put to work.. Usual suspects.. Chop from one face.. Flip over and repeat. Finally try a test fit.. Meh. Got the top of the til done, a set up for a glue up.. But needed a way to clamp this up, and not be in the way.. Works for me..Got the top fitted, now for the bottom… Wider board means more dovetails to do…...
