Time to knock apart that dry fit…clean a few things up, and a bit of a glue up
Things that needed cleaned up?
Areas like this on the tenons…and pare a bit on the tenons for a better fit..A bit of glue on a tenon..both ends
One side glued up…then..
wasn’t quite done with either of these 2…such milling on the tablesaw produced a pair of runners for the drawer to slide….and they needed installed..
First one…had issues…this is after the issues were fixed….issue being it WAS on the outside, and NOT the inside like it is now….yes, I will need to go and scrape back to bare wood..later…
Having learned my lesson, the other runner was installed without any real trouble…set both assemblies aside…
Didn’t like the blank for the drawer front…milled a new one….I also milled a side for the drawer, with the old drawer front now being the other drawer side….did not like having a back of a drawer being 7/8” thick…so…
That looks a bit better…about ~1/2” thick…
So..now I have the parts for the drawer “box” almost cut to size..
Two thin strips might be guides along the drawer? seem a little too thick…will work on that…as for the “new & improved” drawer front?
have to figure out which edge will be the “Top” of the drawer….uphill, or downhill?
Letting the glue-ups sit overnight…..
This morning…cussing already beginning….
Cleaned off the tablesaw, the largest flat spot in the shop. All the clamps came off, including the usual one that had to fall on the floor…always one. had spent last night getting glue blocks milled up..
Anyway, spread some glue on some tenons..and try the F style clamps….since they worked the other day…wasn’t a guarantee they would again…we do have “back-up”..
These also clamp things squarely….and nothing will argue with them…despite all the creaks & groans ( me AND the wood)
Fun part was getting this off the tablesaw and onto the floor…
Those pipes are about 5’ long, BTW…checked things for square…then started to glue and screw corner blocks in place….ran out of screws the right length after just 4? Grrrrr… Well, these are also called glue blocks, so..
We glued them into place, just don’t sneeze going by here….
Over this coming weekend, will see about building a drawer..
Right now…I’m letting the glue dry….
Stay tuned…

Looking nice Bandit, I enjoy reading your post here. Nice to know I’m not the only one who does some cussing.
