« Part 11: Thursday in the shop, a dovetail tutorial.... Part 12 of A Project for August, Tool Chest series Part 13: Drawer #5 needs to be glued up, today.. »

Lets see…between errands, a Rust Hunt, and the heat….wasn’t too energetic for the shop work….Drawer #5 ’s Front was a bit on the rough-sawn side…decided to try and smooth it out a bit..

Both faces….may turn around and do the same to the 2 sides, later today?

Drawer #4…out of the clamps! Cauls needed a “WHACK” to get them to leave…Had a couple dovetails sitting a bit proud….planed them level….a few gaps were also showing….filled those in….test fit to the case…..the front of the drawer was hitting the divider…seems the bottom edge was a bit much…..was sticking down below the bottoms of the sides….we have a way..

Then test fit again….until the drawer slides in with no issues….

Been a complaint or two, about the size of the handles being …too big…found a bag in the Yard Sale stash..and tried a couple of those handles…

Didn’t need any new holes, either…so..

I guess these will just have to do….was intending to add a hasp and a locking bar down through the handles…might still do that…we’ll see…

Drawer #5 got it’s groove thing..

And that was about it for a Friday…..

Stay tuned…
