« Part 7: Drawer Build 101, well, it is a start.. Part 8 of A Project for August, Tool Chest series Part 9: Drawer Build 103, Tuesday was a better day »

Lumber run to start off the day..two planks at 3/4” x 6” x 48”, and two at 3/4” x 6” x 75”, about 10 bft? Price?
Total was $7….about the only luck for the day…as Old Man Murphy decided to join in…Drawer #2 came out of the clamps….test fit showed some sticky spots…plane to clean those up,,try again..

Well, I could maintain that little gap with the rest of the drawers…we’ll see…Drawer #1…was a fighter..

Front wanted to hop around a bit..just getting a groove done….sides?

Still issues with the dado plane….well, at least the spurs..saw to take care of that..

Again having trouble with too fat of a back….dovetails were not helping, got the plywood bottom cut and Trimmed the back (3 times?) Got fed up…ready to fire Murphy….and doing this glue up made herding cats look easy..but, despite Murphy’s best efforts..

Drawer #1 is clamped and glued up..and even square!....mallet came in handy…

Decided to try to start Drawer #3…

This is it’s front..and it hoped right off the bench..twice,,,while trying to do the groove thing….finally got that done, decided I had enough “FUN” for a day..stashed the other 2 parts for Drawer #3

With the drawer’s front..was a very busy day….and a mean one..

Stay tuned…Tuesday was a little bit better…
