Did a bit of hand sanding today….sanded the outside to 320 grit, then wiped it all down.
Decided to varnish the insides..one coat at least..
More to protect the insides from wet items being placed back inside….think of all the seasonings and such at a cookout….this box will get used to carry them…
Floor and the dividers got a decent coat. then closed the lids for a bit….
This was more about how the wood looked, than about the smell of Cedar…I wanted the grain to show off a bit..
Those locking rings were the smallest Lowes had on hand….
I guess I could add a padlock to them?
letting this mess dry a day or two….while I find some 0000 steel wool to rub things down with…may go with just a single branding mark….in the bottom of the box.
Then I might post as a Project? See you then…thanks for looking in…
