Shavings happened….
The thing about these Cedar planks…one side is already smooth, but the other was left rough….since both faces will show, I needed to smooth the rough face down…used the heads of 2 screws, to hold the ends still long enough.
Good thing these were both too long….I can cut off the “bad” end….as soon as I know how much…
Handles were about the same..
Even that knot seemed to plane nicely….sharp enough plane?
Bottom for the tray…came out of the clamps, and was trimmed for square…and for width…
Again, had one face that used to be rough….looks a bit better, now?
Dryer was about done….laid out a couple sides, to check for fit…
So…next Laundry Detail trip….I can start on the through dovetails to hold the corners together?
Stay tuned….
