« Part 6: Building drawers Part 7 of Using up Leftovers series Part 8: Hardware arrived, and the stain, too »

Been a lot of 1-2 hour sessions lately….late night trips to the shop…that sort of thing..
Last 2 drawers were glued up..

Had two drawers and the lid sitting in the clamps all day..

Lid has Bread Board edges, now

Decided to return to the shop about..midnight..to check on the glue ups…when I came back upstairs, it was after 0100 in the morning…both drawers were out of the clamps, cleaned up, and fitted to their spots..

And..the lid dry fitted to it’s new home…

Next “little” session…involved a mitersaw….and a cordless one at that..

Since I had built out the bottom edge of the sides of the case..

I went back and leveled them up with the front, once the glue had dried, I sanded the bottom edge on both ends, then used that cap rail molding..

To kind of dress things up a bit…

Nail and glue. Was still waiting on the hardware to show up….and needed to get the bandsaw re-motored

Old motor, did not want to run, and wobbled when it would almost start…dropped it to the floor…and had my Grandson help install the spare…

So..just waiting on the mail…stay tuned…
