Ok, box is out of the clamps….nothing flew apart…still need to fix a few items..

Need to fill…..will later, when I am feeling a bit better…Lid blank was cross cut to rough size, first a cross cut..

Tried to get the best behaved chunk, from the plank..

After Chris planed all the planks down, nice and smooth. Turned out this was tapered a bit…mark one straight line, plane to it, tablesaw to rip the other edge parallel….and checked the ends for square..

Ok…Sellers calls for both a round-over both faces, and a rebate on the underside. I roughed in the round-over with a router, then a #3 plane to finish it smooth…the rebate..same plane he used..

Stanley #78. Rebate is for the barrel of the hinges to clear…at least on the back…other three are just to match the one in back…then, laid out some parts for a drawer..

Waiting to attach the lid, until after the finish is done….Hardest part of the drawers…was getting the parts the right size, to where they slide in and out…

And allow for the drawer’s front to close up all the way…..Back was sized after the grooves were done, and a dado to house the back. Grooves and dado were by tablesaw…had to also bevel the ends of the plywood panel to fit..
finally was able to spread some glue…

May see about some better hinges?

These are a might small…
Stay tuned, will see what the drawer looks like, tomorrow…
