Today’s one hour shoptime ( plus Laundry Detail.) was to get some grooves made…first one was the easier of the bunch…as long as I set it up for the correct edge..
More of a rebate, but was needed for the floor board to sit in…
Because this sits above the drawer opening…the rest of the grooves were almost in the middle of the boards…had to slide the fence way out…
AND, make sure I “pulled” from the right direction….first groove was a bit low….re-adjust the fence a bit…to where things matched up..
Dry fit, once the plywood “floor” was cut to size…( second time’s a charm..) and…
Was able to do a glue, from here…
Box in there, somewhere. Let this sit a day…had an issue with the blank for the base…
This is after the resaw work…upper right corner? Had to go back, reset the fence to that spot, run things through again….bandsaw again to resaw the strip out of the middle…then the plane could do it’s job..
Millers Falls V-line smoother….first, across the grain, then diagonal to the grain..and finally..
Both faces looked like this…I even planed the parts for the drawer down to smooth and flat..
One will be the back of the drawer, the other will be the 2 sides of the drawer…double checked the glue up for square…
Had to move a load of clothes from the washer, over to the dryer..and had a clean up to do..
Then called it a day….
Stay tuned..

I always enjoy watching these builds.

Well I’m exhausted now!
