Had to dig the tablesaw out….I wanted a way to be a little “neater” with the rabbets/rebates…

Set up the blade, and the rip fence…I wanted a crisp, pristine ( as Sellers likes to say) wall, that also is to the correct depth. Planes are nice to use…but, they sometimes give a messy look…one rebate being thinner, or thicker…right at a corner…so..

Planes can still remove the waste…until they reach the corner of the wall…end grain was removed first..

Do both ends first….also, did not have to mess with the spurs…tablesaw already made that cut…then reset the jig..

Still with the 78…test fits were done…

I did try the old #181…but, at least the 78 has a depth stop. Got all 4 rebates made, added a detail..

Made a “back bevel”....#60-1/2 Stanley. Trying to remove a bit of tear-out at that corner, anyway…Since all the frame parts fit nicely..might as well spread a bit of glue….clamps and cauls..

This is the way glue up usually happen…one part is held in the vise, with enough room to add the clamps…gravity helping out. cauls?

Help keep things flat…like at these corner joints. Then just let it sit for a day…before it comes out of the clamps..and other things happen…
Which will be next time….stay tuned…
