Ok, stained the fronts of 2 drawers. and a test fit of the handles…

The way the desk was sitting, made it hard to fit drawers…so

I slid it over here…drawers now fit…but. There was an issue with the raised panels intruding into the drawer’s space..can’t remove any of it, so..I planed the sides of the drawers down, until they fit…weapon of choice?

Until I got too close to the screws at the back…then a beltsander finished up…Make a pile of shavings to sweep out of the way, though..

Saw was also moved a bit, had a plywood panel to cut down, into drawer bottoms…

Once I had the backs the right size, I used those to mark out the plywood..
.

Had 2 “extra” drawer fronts, the ones with the knots on the ends…decided to rip them into 2” wide drawer fronts..

Figuring that I could miss the knot on at least one edge..

And..

Used the Millers Falls #14 to remove a saw mark, or two…tried them for fit..

Just need to cut the rest of the parts for these two skinny drawers. May try to build #3 and #4 drawers, later today, IF the shop cools down a bit. May also run the router around the top edges of the desk’s top…as soon as I figure out which edge bit I want to use….small matter of dovetails for the 2 skinny drawers, too
We be getting there…stay tuned
