« Part 5: Mortises, glue ups...side #1 done.. Part 6 of New desk for my computer series Part 7: "a 3 hour tour..?" »

Lets see, was a bit jumbled up, yesterday….too many errands to be run, right when I am trying to work…but

needed 10 mortises chopped, and a pair of feet milled…

Check for fit as I went along..

Since 2 raised panels were already done. Panel #3 had issues..

A knot and some splits going on….use this for the rebate side, other side?

I think this will bevel well enough…

Some of the rails were a bit …rough….planed those smooth….dry fit the entire mess up….again with the middle rail not wanting to find it’s mortise….took things apart, and then glued and clamped them back in place…and set aside with the other 2 sides…

Set out all the Pine scraps…to see how much I could use..

Even found a few scraps of Ash….one was large enough to make a drawer front with….reset the saw and rip fence, and ran a few pieces through at 1-1/2 wide….then a little crosscutting…

About half of what I’ll need…..made a trip to Lowes this morning….picked out the “best” 1×2 x6’ (4 !) and a 1×4 x 4’....and hauled them to the shop…ready to cut down to all the webrames needed…
Which will be..later this afternoon…
Stay tuned…
