« Part 1: Start up Part 2 of A Box of Fancy Pine series Part 3: Moldings from scratch? »

Ok, plan was to have a divider in the middle of the box…so, mark out for a dado to be milled..

Then more work with the backsaw….

Then a chisel to clean it out…..

Hand plane to smooth the divider up….was a tad rough from the bandsaw…and you can see the planning stop.

Then, this is where the cussing began in earnest….Kept trying to dry fit all the parts at once….got fed up, and then just spread the glue, added the clamps, and a couple cauls…..Grrrrrr.

To “calm down” from all that noise….tried to size the parts for a tray..

Work in progress….closed shop for the night…

And let this mess sit a day or two.

These cutters are to make a fancy molding, for around the bottom of the box.

That will be in the next episode.
Stay tuned…Moldings….Tray building, and much more..

Looking good bandit. I’d like to be a fly on the wall when the grumbling starts, just out of the way from a swatter.

Don’t even need to be in the shop….the Boss could hear me right through the floor, while she was watching tv….must have been using the old RSM’s Parade Ground Voice….
