Trying to get caught up here…
Face frame: Stanley 45 and a #22 bead cutter..

Two cuts to make the outside corner, a single for the inside edges…The top rail only got one bead. Fancy cuts, to produce a tenon, once I got sizes figured out..

Then made a few cuts into the stiles…

And made a few mortises..

Top one was easy. the one for the bottom rail?

I had to get things fine tuned, for the beads to line up just right

Spread some glue, add some clamps..

Let this sit a day or two…the top?

Rough ly cut to size. Flattened both faces, added a curve to the corners ( to match the base’s corners..)

And, since I can’t run the router around when the top is installed ( cove goes to the underside)

Decided to cut the 1/4” plywood for the back panel…couldn’t get to the small circular saw, so.

This will just have to do. Figured out how wide it needed to be, bandsaw could saw that off. managed to place the case on the two benches…and installed the back..

Worked down one side. clamps to pull the other side into square, then add screws to that side. Then laid out and drill holes to attach the top

Vintage drill for the counter-bores..

Slightly older drill for the pilot holes…screws to install the top…then a few plugs ( had to cut four more..)

And let all this stuff side overnight….
Part one of the “Catching up” is done….stay tuned for Part 2….might even get caught up to today’s “fun”
