Let’s see….been awhile. Have a nice stash left over from the last two projects. There is a slab..

4/4×13” x 49” long. Someone was testing out a stain when he found a crack….no biggie, we have ways..

Mostly Maple, and some Poplar planks….had a couple 4/4 planks in the stack..

There is some Black Walnut….1×4 x 7’s…..and a few 3/8” Poplar planks….

Maybe build a chest of drawers? Frame & Panel sides? Add a bit of the Walnut for some of the parts?

I could resaw the two 4/4 planks into stiles and rails..

Four stiles, resawn on the bandsaw. The plank below these..

Was enough to make 9 rails…needed 10. Well #9 can be a “spare”. I can make the top rail a 3/4” x 3” and hide the webframes behind it.

There is enough planks of maple to make the drawer fronts, and the raised panels for the sides…look about like this one..

Has a bit of figure to it. Need to start out working on one side of the case, work out all the “bugs”, and see how it goes together…....hmmm, while also doing a “Honey-do” job…I wound up chipping a bone in my right thumb…

So, I am going to be a tad slow with the project, as I also have to learn how to do all these tasks as a “Lefty”....

Looking like 3 full width drawers, with a pair of drawers as 1/2 width at the top. Walnut for the ends of the top, and along the edges. The face frame parts will also be out of the Walnut….adds a bit of colour to the bland Curly Maple.

Stay tuned, as there will be a few more episodes just to get caught up.
