Welcome to LumberJocks, Suzanne! Loved the reference to growing ‘dirty dishes in the sink’! This is a great place to learn and share. Please post some of your projects. If you’re adventuresome, stop by the Stumpy Nubs Woodworking forum say ‘Hey!’ You’ll receive a warm, and probably ornery, welcome!

I am in the process of digging out my wood equipment. When MY husband retired five years ago I leaned a very valuable lesson that I quote out loud now…”Twice the man, One third the income, and four times the work!” He took his job duties he did for 32 year and applied them to me! He was a supervisor and delegates (with sweet talking charm skills.) The hard reality for me was, he’d started things around here, then he’d ask for help telling me it would go faster. I’d be out helping him, and in a dream like state I’d realize he was missing. I’d find him in the house on the couch with the computer and the TV on! We have a ranch/farm and work is never done. (I make food from scratch and still managed the farm/ranch when he was at work. And this is before I retired!) He managed to invent more work for me after his retirement! After five years of losing who I was, I said: NO MORE! (Yep, I am slow to leaning a lot of things.) I am fairly new to the computer. Didn’t get out of dial up until two years ago and even now it is a basic service. So I use up data fast learning. However, I am excited about wiggling in some Lumber Jock time learning how to post things and share. My husband also realized I have a talent and retirement doesn’t cover all the expenses. So something has to give …OR someone! :) Thanks for the encouraging word. I will try to post some of my work very soon! ~Suzanne
