Location: Ruston, La. /IRAQ

I am from north Louisiana and at the moment I am deployed to IRAQ for my second time. I work full time for the LA Army National Guard and I am also a senior at Louisiana Tech University. Majoring in FORESTRY! Woohoo!! I really like it because i get to be in the woods ALL DAY! I have always liked wood working, but have really gotten in to it during the past few years. I am by no means good at it, but I really enjoy it. Unfortunately I haven't been able to touch any of my tools since Christmas 2009 because of the whole "go over seas and don't get yourself killed thing" that I have been doing since then. Hopefully It will all be over soon and we can ALL come home for good. I have been looking at LJ for a LONG time now and I have finally made a profile and can post pictures and stuff, so I am pretty happy about that. Everyone on here seems to be very nice and I love looking at all the projects. NOt much I can make over here in the desert, but I am thinking about doing a rocking chair, if I can ever get enough time between all the missions. Anyway, that is about all I can think of right now. I will post the few projects that I have on my computer. Hope you all enjoy!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.
