no previous part Part 1 of Moon Bed makes it to the Philippines series no next part

Hi all,

I built this very simple bed shown in my projects shown here.

The bed was made for Nephew Liam in the Philippines, little Liam really doesn’t have much in the way of Material possessions. Lovie and I boxed the bed up and put it on a container ship to the Philippines.
The package arrived in Manila and sat at other Brother in Laws house until eventually it was transported up into the remote province of Isabella.
There was hype among the family as the bed slowly made its way to the province. Liam was truly excited to receive his new bed, the word is that he is very protective of it. By all accounts he had a great sleep last night by the Blue Moon.

Liams father Raymond earns his living farming Corn by hand off 7 acres. He is very handy and the pics show Liam helping his father assemble the bed. Maria-Elisa and Raymond with there son Liam truly make a great family.

Its made my day.

THE UNBOXING

THE ASSEMBLY

THE TRIAL

EDIT: For Further reading Liam gets his Toy Truck shown here

well I think there were some people over the moon with that bed.
Better get a wriggle on and start cranking some more out.
Bunya paneling may be the shot.

Hey how did you get a package to the Philippines? We have to use a intermediate courier and then by ship is the go.

As for the cousins, hey it looks like there is room for a couple more anyway, that is before they get kicked out and have to find their own.!

“Over the moon”, Hilarious.
Mate, because there is so many Philippinos in Hong Kong, quite easy to get freight to and fro. We boxed it up and the shipping company picked up and delivered door to door. Cheap with so much freight company competition.
It was down there by boat within two weeks.

Very touching story Anthony. That was nice of you guys to send him that and like you already said he is protective of it. Now you know he loves it.

Looked like bedlam, but they eventually assembled it. Did it come with an allen key? Been getting flat pack inspiration from Ikea?

Nice job antman and I noticed you gave Liam a chance to grow just that tad more… Maybe room for the girlfriend… when he gets much older of course!

Top job Anthony.
The bed has room to grow too.
We just don’t know how well off we really are.

The little guy will be able to use that bed into adulthood. Well done!

Thanks Gents for all the kind comments,
I am up early this morning and standing by for reports from the Philippines. Wondering how his night number 2 sleep went under the blue moon.
Thanks again all.
Kind Regards
Anthony

Awesome present for Liam!!! I also like the design. Your builds always have such clean strong lines.

I have the case for the combination work top / dust collector sitting on my work table. The primer is drying. I’ll have to post a couple pictures on the swap thread tomorrow.
