I am retired from the Air Force and American Airlines(pilot). Me and the wife became full-time RVers in January 2008 and traveled until Dec 2009. We are currently caring for my wife's mother and have parked the RV for awhile. I have set-up my woodworking tools in my mother-in-laws barn and have begun small projects. I was into pen turning during my working years, and have recently begun band saw boxes. I really enjoy making the boxes, but my equipment(sears 12in band saw)is limited. Any tips on making boxes will be appreciated.

Just signed-up and located in lower Alabama. Anyone out there know of woodworking supply stores in or around mobile, Al? Our woodcraft store closed. I am looking for exotic woods and small hardware items that cannot be found in local home stores.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
