Shuffleboard Workbench - 8 replies

I’ve always thought that a bowling lane would make a great workbench. I’ve got an opportunity to buy a shuffleboard table which seems like a good alternative. Anybody have experience with this?

Help with Bandsaw Blade MX - 9 replies

I need help. I can’t seem to keep my blades clean. As seen in the photo. I’m simply stumped. Am I doing something wrong or is this common. If it’s me, what is it I’m doing. If it’s common, what do you do to correct it?

Best finish for multiple types of wood in one project - 1 reply

Hi all. I’m building a game board for an ancient Viking game called Hnefatafl. Basically the board is just a square of 13×13 smaller squares. To make this I inlayed walnut into maple. But now I’m not sure what finish to use. I’m thinking either tung, or teak. Plus I’ll cover with polyurethane. Any suggestion on wh...

I’ve been reading books, watching all those posted here and think I have a good hand...

New Game - 9 replies

I learned a new game last night… As I was cleaning up woodchips from the floor of my shop, my dog taught me that it is actually a game. I try to clean up, he tries to bite the vacuum hose nozle. I really have no idea of the rules, but I think I lost. Unless you account for the # of smiles, then I win! By a landslide… Peter

Table Saw Kickback - 42 replies

So there I was…Don’t all good stories start that way? I always think so. But this isn’t really a good story. So there I was (oops, already said that), first project with my new tools. Thinking I knew what I was doing, I started ripping some wood (sawdust is our friend)! Now, before I go too much further, I should explain...
