I have just recently, within the last 1-1/2 years, gotten into woodworking. I am currently the office manager at a doctor's office, prior to that I worked as the office manager at a construction company. I am the mother of 3 boys, 1 out of college, 2 still in. I lost my husband about 2 years ago and have just recently remarried...my new hubby has a great woodworking shop so I have access to way more equipment then what I had. I have learned so much. Woodworking for me was a great diversionary to help me past the grief of loosing my first husband. It's been a God send!

Take care and happy woodworking.

Hi Yonda, welcome to our little playground.
Sorry to hear what had to go through, but also happy to hear, that you found a way to deal with it and even a new love, these thing can go hand in hand, as long as we allow what we feel.
I started woodworking because I had to early retire as an Architect at 40, due to a spinal neck injury, after some time I realized, I could dig my self a hole or find a new path, I don’t like digging, so woodworking became my way of meditating, doing and sharing it here, became a wonderful opening, that now lasted more than ten years and opened up for long distance friendships, with guys like Tony. The grief of loosing, can not be ignored, it’s something we have to go through, so big respect for your openness about it.
Best thoughts,
Mads
