The name “jointer” is a bit of a misnomer, to me. It really doesn’t make joints. It’s a face flattener and makes for right (or angled) edges. When using a jointer do you say you “join” the board or do you say you “joint” the board ? Using joint as a verb just doesn’t seem right. Cons...
