Fun to see your early work Adam and some of the new too. The cutting boards look great and I’m sure your Aunt is going to love hers. Your box turned out great too.

If you don’t have a chuck you can make a glue chuck. Just a hunk of wood fastened to your faceplate and glued to the part you want to turn (the lid for example) with a piece of brown paper glued between the glue chuck and your turning. When the turning is finished you can just insert a chisel edge between the two and it come right apart, then you sand off the paper on your work piece.
