I’ve heard it many times… what separates a bad woodworker from a good woodworker is how well they hide their mistakes.

Repairing furniture is a great way to learn how to hide woodworking mistakes. I just published a YouTube video showing a bad furniture repair, how to take it apart, and how to fix it. Here’s the before and after photos.
