Location: Travelers Rest, SC

Just an amateur hobbyist with limited experience. Hoping to gain more now that I am retired. Moving to South Carolina where I hope to set up a little nicer shop in the garage.

Thank you for your comments on my chairs. the design is a modification of one my Dad had and I reworked over the years. I have one set of patterns, which I modify as time goes on. My son has been after me to make drawings and list the procedure I use. If I do that, I would be glad to send you a set. But right now I am back logged with orders. I’m a retired stone mason, who has always enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. It has now turned into a business. I work mostly with Sequoia and Oak wood. I take logs, slab, dry, cut, plane, saw, sand and sand and sand…. But I must say the wood is lighter than stone and at my age that is a plus.

Feel free to check back with me at any time. Maybe I can send pictures of the process as I build up. It might force me to get started on a formal set af plans.

Have your say...
