Hello all! Just joined and here’s my first post.Probably not the right place to introduce myself, but it’s done now. hahaha. Any other Michiganders here?
I retired last June 2015. Time to dust off the old Bandsaw and Table saw. I have a JET bandsaw that is 23 years old. It’s the old blue color. I decided to get a riser block for it and new blades of course. The new Jet power tools are white now. I didn’t want that on my saw. I took the top cover off the saw and took it to Home Depot to match the color. I painted the riser block. Came out real close. The employee named the color JET BLUE, for their file. Sweet! One thing lead to another. I got a good deal on some Carter blade guides and installed those. Bought a Kreg fence, urethane wheel bands, new blade and tuned it up. I saw that the new PRO Jet bandsaw had a tension release for easy blade changes. I ordered the parts from Jet and installed that too. It works so good! I feel like I have a new saw!
Whoa! Why did the pics come out sideways??? Oh well.
