« Part 3: Back Porch Interior #1 Part 4 of This Old House: My First Home. series Part 5: Feb 2017, Hi-Boy to TV Stand...Little Side Project »

As being a truck driver, I am very limited by time. only a couple days a month to get as much as I can done. so some pieces will take longer than what they would for a normal stay at home guy. I did three things in Feb.

Started the Back Porch Exterior.

Demo on the Living Room.

And a Hi-Boy to TV Stand Project that took me and my Sons a couple hours. Yeah one of my best weekends in Years. Pic one proves you can do an 8’x12” board in a Durango. We had allot going on, My youngest with the Stain, my middle son with cutting, even my Ex-wife joined in and sanded some things down for me. In one pic you can see where i did not get the right length board, don’t worry I got it fixed up.

You can see my scrap and recycle pile in one of the pics. I have a real hard time tossing out wood. I can always re-purpose it later. Originally there was no insulation. this wall is not completely insulated with R13. and from the Drive Looks pretty good. I used 1” X 12” x 8’ regular pine, i can put that to good use when I remove the porch Later. If there were a bedroom in the house I could tear it down now but there isn’t so…. it will do till the rest of the house is done.
