A lot has changed…. I’ve beat Cancer again. This one almost took me out. I’m up! I’m alive! and I’m back at it! I almost forgot I was still listed here. I’ve been back in the shop and have started in a new direction with my life but making sawdust is still in the plans. I had to beat another melanoma, I had to get better, I had to get stronger. I did, I did and I am!

I will try to get some pics up and continue where I left off.

Life is good people…. believe it!

We’ve lost a lot of good people in general. Glad you pulled through and look forward to your projects.

Fantastic! You kept fighting and did not give in. I wish you all the best.

This is a sign I made for my Mom’s house in Sevierville Tennessee. The house sat on top of a large sloping hill, and my Mom always called it Sunny Hill. It’s made out of maple and although a little hard to tell it’s hand carved. I made the S into a sun with the rays. I freehanded the letters with a router and hand carved the S and the rays. I painted the reliefs with acrylic sign makers paint and used 4 coats of marine polyurethane to make it weatherproof. Needless to say my Mom loved it! This picture was taken a year before she passed away two days after Mothers Day 2015.
Mothers Day is always a little tough for me since then, but I carry her with me every day and know she will never truly leave me. It’s memories like this picture and so many other things that bring me comfort at this time of year.
Happy Mothers Day Mom…. and a very happy Mothers Day to all the Mom’s of everyone I know. Maybe they’re gone… but they really and truly are still with us.
