So with the new year comes some new and exciting changes for me. One main change is I am doing a complete shop remodel as well as I have a New Shop to get ready to fill with woodworking tools, and machines, so I have some additional work space.. Here is a look at the new space and a little information as to what the plans are for the changes..

Laney,
Good luck with the new shop, looks like its going to become a real man-cave when set up. Have fun with your new play house.

Hey Laney. Looks like you’ve got a lotta fun work with the shop re-do. I used white pegboard in my shop walls as you can see here: http://lumberjocks.com/Kentuk55/workshop I used osb sheets lengthwise on the bottom, then pegboard lengthwise above it, and finished with osb on the top/upper walls. A friend of mine did his whole interior walls in osb, and painted them bright white. He can just put a nail or screw anywhere, literally to hang anything. I do like the white pegboard. It does make it good and bright. Good luck, I’ll/we’ll be watchin it all come back together.

That’s cool. Instant building/shop. Is that siding aluminum or wood? Curious if you considered building your own shop versus a prefab. Looking foward to see how you set up the shop.

Julian,
The outside is Aluminum siding, the inside has wood framing. I did consider building an addition on to my shop, it really boiled down to time and need, I needed more space but unfortunately didn’t have the time to build one, I would have liked to simply because I could have designed it to specs, but this prefab building is just fine and There is a lot I will do to make it a functional, efficient workshop.

Hey Bro,
I’m excited for your new shop. Sounds like you got a good plan layed out. I’m going the other route. I’m trying to make things smaller in my shop. But just like you, i need to get organized. So hopefully i get some ideas from you. If you don’t mind.:-)
