Hey, I'm Rory. Grew up the son of a custom millwork foreman, loved helping my dad out in the shop and visiting his workplace growing up, lost interest during my misspent adolescence, moved away and suddenly found my old interest in wood. Now I've finally been able to set up a shop and get to work.

Welcome Rory. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Rory and others, my comment was meant to be taken as tongue in cheek humor. The point I was trying to get across was to “listen to the old timers” we been there and we can show you the way. After re-reading it I can see where I came off a little strong, for that I apologize to those I offended. As for my post and my newness to LJ. If you read them, you’ll see I always tried to give good, sound and encouraging advice. I been a member since 2007, whereas I asked for and gave advice. My e-mail was recently hijacked therefore I had to start over as a newbie. I been very busy with work, but I will try to get some pics of the shop and projects to share with everyone. I’m not sure how to handle the car and house issue; if I post them it may do more damage. I could send you pics, not with the intent of impressing you, rather to show my sincerity.

Rusty, please refer to my response on the Young WW thread. I totally didn’t see the humorous intent of your post, and I’m sorry for my very harsh overreaction.
