Is 3/4 hp enough for a 6" jointer? - 4 replies

The title says it all. I am looking at purchasing a 6” jointer and I am wondering how much power I need. Is 3/4 hp enough? Do blades need more or less power than a Shelix head on a jointer? Thanks! Bill
