I like to take pics, so when I took a little stroll through a wood turning exhibit this morning, I snapped a few. All of images should be linked to larger versions, should you want to see them a lil’ bigger.
Not sure what this was made out of, but it was probably my favorite piece at the exhibit –
Mango (left, with keys) and Milo wood (right) –
These had an almost stone-like translucence –
I thought that the segmented piece, in particular, was very cool -

I think that they always have an exhibit of some sort, but they rotate pieces in and out; there was a lot of Hawaiian work there at this time, for instance. Here’s their website – http://www.galleryofwoodart.org/
