Hi April. Your drill press is somewhere between 22 and 30'' tall and is made to be set on a bench. Mine stands 68'' tall and sits on the floor. Basically they are the same except for the length of the column. So I have a a 53'' column that doesn't get a lot of use. If I build a cabinet around the column and base I can always roll it out of the way if needed. I hope that explains things.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I was really nervous about creating an account because I wasn't sure what type of mentality members had about females joining in. I can see I was worried for nothing and I'm really excited to start making friends and learning from all you pros. ; )

Don't apologize for being "young and a girl"

You are just what God made you :^) and all humanity shares his creative impulse.

Not many every act on it though, and that's one reason why I think so many people are unhappy.

Judging by your photo, I'd say your not one of them.

Now tell that engineer wanna be hubby to get crackin' :^)
