Location: Weld Maine

Just got started as a woodworker after I retired.
I cut around 50 trees on my wood lot and had them sawed up by a very experienced guy using a wood miser that had cut over 1 million board feet.
I have about 2000 board feet of Sugar maple, yellow birch, white birch and Ash. 8/4 and 5/4. Half was air dried and half kiln dried. Everything but the Ash is quarter sawn.
I have a pretty small shop with mostly rigid tools I bought second hand on Craigs list.
So far I have been making small stuff like end grain cutting boards. Coffee tables and spatulas or spoons.
I especially like working with flaming yellow birch although I admit it is pretty challenging to get it square and flat.
