I posted these photos in the Late Night Jibber Jabber thread and I realized they make a perfect blog entry so here we go :)
My husband and a friend of ours took apart an old building near where we live, in the rural north Georgia mountains, and under the building was a set of French doors. Well they were too pretty to just scrap, and every pane of glass was intact (and each one hand cut!) so they came home with us.
I’m finally getting around to restoring them and this is the first one.
What kind of wood do you think that is? It’s held up surprisingly well laying outside in all sorts of weather conditions.
- Greg (from the late night thread) thought perhaps Mahogany.
Ill post more photos as I get it back together.

Wow, restoring is another side of the coin. Sorry I can’t help with the wood type.
