After a decade and a half of sitting in front of a screen, I decided it was time to let out my inner artistic child. I had put away the pencils, paints and canvas too long ago to take painting back up, but I always did love working with my hands and creating things. So began my love affair with power tools and wood.
Now I find any excuse to make things out of scrap wood, cheap wood, free wood, barn wood, any old wood I can possibly find since budgets are tight. I have been lucky to be gifted enough tools on birthdays and Christmas to keep me busy making the creations I dream up in my head.
While I have patience, I am not a patient follower of plans, so more often than not, I will look at photos and combine that inspiration with what I see in my brain and somehow things all work out.
I want to create fun, hardy, usable furniture that is appealing and functional. I also love the fact that I can now make frames for all my old artwork languishing in storage. :)
-- Have a happy day!
