Well, my husband told me one day that I needed to get a new hobby since I don't have very many except for cooking and baking. So, I get into wood carving and pen turning. I am still just learning, but I think I am doing alright for a beginner. Now, I think he regrets the comment of me needing a hobby, as I am in the workshop more than he is and is using all of his tools...

Eventually, I would like to learn more. I plan on doing pencils and letter openers to match the pens. Do 3 piece sets for people that include a pen, pencil, and letter opener. My husband and I would eventually like to turn Christmas Ornaments and our own chess set too.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
